Buyer and Seller Protection

Buyer Protection and Seller Protection are initiatives that help members on those rare occasions when a trade doesn’t go as planned.

Buyer Protection is there to help get buyers a refund if something they’ve purchased on Trade Me Marketplace (via our payment systems Ping or Pay Now, or via Afterpay) doesn’t turn up, or isn’t as described, and they’re having trouble resolving it with a seller.

Seller Protection is there to help sellers – be it protection from scammers, working through a tricky trade, or review a negative feedback, we've got your back.
