Problems with shipping

Making your shipping options clear is important and helps buyers make an informed decision.

Correctly specifying your shipping rates, and setting up your payment instructions to be sent automatically means the grand total is calculated and sent to the buyer when the auction is won. This saves you time and helps ensure the buyer will pay you the correct amount.

Who is responsible for contacting couriers if something goes wrong?

If an item is lost or damaged while in transit, it is the person who organises the shipping (usually the seller) who is responsible for contacting the shipping agent and starting an investigation to find out what has happened.

If the courier completes their investigation and decides to compensate someone, it will be the person who has the contract with them, the person who organised the shipping, who receives the compensation.

Open and clear communication between both buyer and seller will go a long way to assisting with any dispute or issue.
