Verifying your address

Address verification helps create a more trusted online marketplace.

Traders who have verified their street address will be shown as 'Address Verified' throughout Trade Me.

For business memberships, the street address is where the business operates from, or its registered address for service. For individual memberships, it's the residential address of the trader.

We verify your street address by sending you a personal verification code in the post.

When you receive your code you enter it into Trade Me to complete the process. The code is unique to you and can only be used to address verify the Trade Me membership that requested it.

To verify your address, head to your 'My Trade Me' page, select the red 'AV' stamp on the right, and you'll find all the info you need.
