General items
Most Marketplace categories are 'general items' – stuff you'd find around home and the office.
- Run an auction or set a Buy Now price. Learn more.
- Free to list and relist – unless optional extras are selected.

Service fee (for buyers)
From 28 September 2025 to 11 October 2025, we’re testing a small service fee for some buyers.
If a buyer is part of the test, they’ll see a service fee when they make a purchase in the Home & Living and Clothing & Fashion categories. The fee does not apply to listings from professional sellers.
We’re running this experiment at the same time as a no success fee promotion for casual sellers. Learn more about the service fee experiment.

Shipping containers
When you list in the shipping container category:
- You pay a listing fee, instead of a success fee.
- The listing fee depends on how much the item is worth.
- Your listing duration is 30 days.

- One shipping container per listing. Your listing fee covers one shipping container for 30 days. You can’t add a quantity to your Buy Now listing. If you have several containers to sell, you'll need to create a separate listing for each one.
Portable cabins and tiny homes
When you list in the portable cabins and tiny homes category:
- You pay a listing fee, instead of a success fee.
- The listing fee depends on how much the item is worth.
- Your listing duration is 30 days.
