Receiving payment

Buyers should make payment within a week unless you’ve agreed on a different time frame. The buyer can pay you via Trade Me, or directly. 

Payment via Trade Me 

If the buyer uses Ping or Afterpay, you'll receive their address as soon as payment is made.

If you're waiting on a specific detail that wasn't included in delivery instructions, you'll need to email the buyer.

Once the money reaches you, you'll need to get their parcel out the door as soon as possible. Let the buyer know once you've posted the item, and share any tracking information.

Payment outside Trade Me 

If you don't have payment instructions set up, you’ll need to contact the buyer. 

The buyer can send their address through the site, or contact you directly.

Once payment has appeared and you have the address, you'll need to get the parcel sent as soon as possible. 

Pick up 

We expect the buyer to organise and collect the item within a week of winning the listing unless you’ve agreed upon a different timeframe.
