Items that don't sell

Did your listing close without selling? Don't stress, you can send out an offer or relist to give the listing another shot.

Fixed price offer

If you are running an auction and have had buyers add your listing to their watchlist, you can send out an offer at a fixed price for a limited amount of time. If someone snaps up your offer, the success fee charged is based on your offer price*.

To create an offer, click 'Fixed price offer' on the expired listing or on your 'Unsold' page. You can decide on your offer price, choose how many days the offer is valid for and select the watchers you'd like to receive the offer.

Keep in mind, if you've added a trader to your blacklist, they'll be unticked to receive the offer by default. If you want to include them in the offer, manually tick the box next to their username.

Relisting

To relist your item, simply click 'Relist' on the expired listing or on your 'Unsold' page. Feel free to make any changes during the relist process.

Once the new listing is up on the site, we'll email the traders who had your listing on their watchlist with a direct link to the fresh listing. It's free to relist auctions but you'll be charged if you choose to use any promos.

Items that don’t sell – Motors car listings created from 3 May 2019

For car auction listings, you can run as many auctions as you like within 90 days. An auction still has a maximum duration of 14 days. This means, you can keep relisting your auction for free until the 90 days is up. To relist an auction, click ‘Relist’ on the expired listing or on your ‘Unsold’ page. Feel free to make any changes during the relist process.

If after 90 days your car hasn’t sold, you can renew your listing for a reduced listing fee. The renewed listing will last for 30 days. For auction listings you can run as many auctions as you like within 30 days.

Once the new listing is up on the site, we'll email the traders who had your listing on their watchlist with a direct link to the fresh listing. Questions, answers or watchers will not be carried over to your new listing.

Don't forget – you have 45 days once a listing has closed to relist or renew before it's removed from the site and archived.

Note: Members who have listed seven or more vehicles in the previous 12 months or are RMVT registered are excluded from this process
